Kylie Charlton co-founded Aii in 2014 to help pioneer Australia’s impact investing sector. With more than 20 years’ experience working at the intersection of impact investment, responsible investment and philanthropy, she has played a key role in shaping the impact investing field nationally and globally. Kylie was instrumental in launching initiatives like Australia’s first social impact bonds, the Social Enterprise Development and Investment Funds, and Giant Leap Fund I. She serves on investment committees for Betashares Ethical Series and Australian Development Investments, a $250 million DFAT-backed fund. In 2008, she also co-founded Unitus Capital to support impact ventures in India. Kylie has been recognised among AFR’s 100 Women of Influence (2018) and received multiple Australian Impact Investing Awards (2018 & 2021) for her contribution to the sector. She holds an MBA from the Säid Business School at the University of Oxford and a degree in commerce from the University of Canberra.

Phil joined Aii in 2017 in an investment research capacity, after 16 years at Ethinvest as a responsible investment adviser and portfolio manager. In his time at Ethinvest, Phil built, and managed investment portfolios tailored to the values-alignment criteria of his clients, including not-for-profits and foundations. He also managed investment and compliance functions for other advisers. Phil currently manages Aii’s investment team that evaluates private market impact investments and guides Aii’s ongoing review of responsible investment products in public markets.  

Sriya joined Aii in 2024, bringing her knowledge and experience from her studies and work in financial analysis, and her recently completed Master of Commerce at UNSW, specialising in Finance and Financial Technology.
